CAVAUTO was founded in 1980 in Cantù (CO) by the will of Hermes Cavarzan, a young entrepreneur really fond of 4 wheelers. He began his career in the “car field” as Jeep and Saab dealer and as importer of vehicles from North America.
A few years later the business was expanded and began a collaboration with the Swedish Volvo.
In 1984 CAVAUTO extended its network of business to the Nissan brand, becoming the unique dealer for the province of Como.
In the late 80s CAVAUTO started working with General Motors, thanks to a first term of the concession for brands Opel, Isuzu and Bedford. In the meanwhile CAVAUTO close the partnership with Volvo.
This collaboration with GM has grown up in the years to be consolidated in the ’93 / ’94, when Hermes Cavarzan, Chairman of the Group, achieved the dealer license for brands Chevrolet, Cadillac, Pontiac and Buick, also thanks to his passion and his great knowledge of American cars.
In 2003 CAVAUTO became the official and unique importer of brand Hummer for Italy.
As the exclusive importer for Italy Hummer, CAVAUTO decided to create the CAVAUTO North American Vehicle Division and began selling the model H1 and H2 in September 2003.
From 2003 to 2006 CAVAUTO stands out between the European Hummer importers thanks to the opening of a national network of 8 showrooms and thanks to the sales of H1, H2, H2 SUT and H3 (on sale since 2005). CAVAUTO got twice the best result as European importer.
In mid-2010 CAVAUTO has decided to focus on American premium brand, giving the Opel brand and gaining the mandate of official importer and distributor for Cadillac and Corvette, directly from General Motors.

CAVAUTO has always been appreciated as a dealer and overseas car importer rich in tradition and has distinguished itself in the automotive field for its strategic vision and for offering high quality standards both in products & services and in the sales process.
Now CAVAUTO is the official importer of Cadillac, Corvette, Hummer and SAAB 9-7X and trader of Buick, Callaway, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Lincoln, GMC, Jeep, Chevrolet and Toyota USA, as well as the official importer of spare parts, tires and accessories for all US brands.
Moreover CAVAUTO is exclusive licensee Magna Charger for the installation of supercharger and authorized center for installation and repair of LPG systems by Landi and BRC.
CAVAUTO: the organization
The new organization includes two divisions: CAVAUTO American Division which deals with import, distribution, service parts and accessories of US vehicles and CAVAUTO Motor Sports, which manages all the technical and mechanical processing for sports cars and off road (ie engines, automatic transmissions and arrangements) and customizations for off road and safari.
In CAVAUTO operate 20 co-workers dealing with sales, service, parts and processing.
Technical staff follows monthly courses on American vehicles.
Hermes Cavarzan is Founder and President of the Group; Riccardo Cavarzan is sales manager for CAVAUTO American Division. Christian Muner coordinates CAVAUTO Motor Sport and services.
CAVAUTO: the presence
CAVAUTO Monza (Via Gerolamo Borgazzi, 8 – 20900 Monza) – showroom. 1200 m2 divided into corners, each one dedicated to a brand and a service center.
CAVAUTO Erba (Via Cascina California, 13/15-22036 Erba) – Service Center. 1300 m2: a showroom of 200 m2 , a service center of 600 m2 and a spare parts and accessories warehouse of 500 m2.

CAVAUTO is an ambitious business and industrial project which provides import and distribution of cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, spare parts and accessories made in the USA, as well as technical and mechanical customization for sports cars and SUVs. The main aim is keeping alive the indissoluble and winning union man-American vehicle.
